How does groom tux try on work?

We went to Men's Wearhouse, no appointment needed because they're not busy like a bridal salon is for dresses. We told them why we were there, said we wanted to buy not rent, and they showed H some styles he liked. They measured him, we picked out the accessories and styles we wanted the GMs to wear and then we were out in less than an hour. We took his suits home that day and he went back 2 months before the wedding for alterations. They told us they liked having 2 weeks for alterations but they could do them in 2 days without a rush fee.

The GMs were given the group number for the orders from H, they went to their local Men's Wearhouses (2 were in CA, we live in Chicago), got fitted, the right stuff was ordered, they picked them up in CA and brought them here on the flight. You could also have them delivered to a Men's Wearhouse locally if it's a DW for them but then if issues come up it could be a nightmare.

Typically the groom goes in first to choose the style and he can get measured then if he wants, and then he will make note of the groomsmen in the wedding. Then the groomsmen can come in on their own time and let them know what wedding it's for and get fitted.

At Men's Wearhouse they give you a number for your wedding to help keep it all on track once you book with them. So then the groomsmen just gave to give them that number and their name and they put it with your file.
