How do you Include Parents/Step-Parents on Wedding Programs?

FutureMrs2011, on February 11, 2011 at 11:34 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

Both of our parents are divorced. My mom and dad are on good terms and my mom has remarried, but my dad has not. My Mom just got remarried last year, so he is a fairly new step-parent, whom I like but we aren't close yet. My FH's dad is remarried and has been for like the past 20 years and his step-mom helped to raise him. His mother is single. My dad and step-dad are cool, but FH's mom and step-mom don't even speak. So this is what I have so far:

Parents of the Bride Mr. XXXX (my dad)

Mrs. XXXX (my mom w/married name)

Parents of the Groom Mr. XXXX (his dad)

Ms. XXXX (his mom)

I can't put them all of the same line because of the formatting, so should I list FH mom first and then Mr. & Mrs. XXX for his dad and step-mom? And how should I list my Stepfather? I want to list my Dad first since he's giving me away and then my mom? should I add my step-dad under my mom's name?

I also want to list my mom's name under my Dad's name, I do not want to list Step dad's name first...if that makes sense.
