How do i word this

As a photographer myself I would simply ask for an updated contact. That protects you and the photographer. If they are good to their word then there should not be an issue. I hope that helps.

As Michelle stated, I would ask for a revised/ new contract. But, in the interim, maybe you can send an email that says something like ...

Thank you for taking the time to speak with me/us regarding postponing our wedding due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are truly appreciative of your willingness to work with us by keeping our previous terms/contracts for our new date. At your earliest convenience, can you please send us a revised contract or an addendum to our existing contract for our records?

View Quoted Comment School has gotten a bit complicated because of the COVID-19 issues. Everything has went fully online vs in class instruction. Classes start back on April 13th so we shall see how interesting this will be.
