How do i thank my Girls?

Lynn, on August 5, 2019 at 7:30 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
I'm a 50 year old bride, a little shy, sometimes awkward and never want to be the center of attention. My daughter, best friend and sister got together and threw am amazing engagement party for us last night. With about 50 people! Catered, gorgeous decorations and all my favorite people. My groom and I both dreaded it because we joke that we don't "people" well but we both had a blast.

I can't imagine how to thank them for all the work and the money, goodness, I feel guilty and grateful and, I don't know, humbled. How do I even begin to thank them?

It was truly a beautiful night.

A simple hostess gift like a bottle of wine, a gift card to their favorite restaurant, or a gift card for a mani/pedi and a nice hand written thank you card.

I agree with Caytlyn, I think just a nice hand written thank you card and some sort of small gift (if you'd like) would definitely be very appropriate. I gave my shower hostesses a lotion, shower gel, and candle with matching scents. My MOHs got a nice clay face mask.

I gave my shower hostesses some bath salts, a gift card and a thank you card.

A note to say exactly that is a great and meaningful start. A small gift is nice, but I think the heartfelt note is really the most important part of the gesture:

First I would take all those emotions you are feeling and put pen to paper to thank them and let them know how much it means to you that they care and are there for you! Then I would find a nice picture that you have with each one of them and put in frame with a bottle of wine and maybe a spa gift certificate or restaurant gift certificate

I think writing a heartfelt card to each of them would mean so much!
