How do i invite couples that do not live together?

DitchingDiaz, on August 16, 2019 at 10:49 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 17

Hey guys I need some help! I was editing the guest lists a bit and started to think about invitations. What's the formal etiquette when inviting couples that do not live together? Do you invite them each individually, or do you do one invitation for both of them? Let me know!

We did one invitation for both and sent it to the person we knew better or who would be the most responsible!

Ditto - we addressed it to both of them and sent it to the better or longer known friend.

Person you know best and add plus guest on invitation (I would only + guest for couples who aren’t living together and aren’t married/engaged).

We addressed them to both, and sent it to the one we were closer to.

Before me and FH started living together he would get invitations for the both of us at his parents' house. I think that's the way to go, it saves you a little money (one less invite and postage!) and some time.

I addressed the invitation to the person I know the best or that i'm related to and when I addressed it I said "Mr. (or Mrs.) Blah Blah and Guest"

Couples should be invited by name. If you don't know your friend's partner's name, call your friend and ask.

This. We didn't have any friends become couples..it was all friends we had that acquired a significant other. So we sent it to the original friends house.

Agree with PP's, I sent one invite with both their names to the person I was closer with.

Just send one to the main friend's house out of the couple. If it's equal friendship with the couple, just send it to whoever you put first on the address (formally usually the male).
