Free standing decorations only. I’m not allowed to hang anything from the ceilings or walls. Please help!

Some people buy columns and put florals on it. Uplighting also really helps the vibe

Drapery and lighting!! It will really set the wedding vibes. And also flowers 😍 Is this going to be for your ceremony and reception or just one? So much can be done with all that space and the natural light is gonna be amazing for photos. 🙌🏽

All that natural light would be beautiful at sunset! (Just make sure you pay attention to which direction your guests are facing- went to a wedding where we were blinded by the sun) I would focus on lighting- it’s what will make the biggest difference in such a large space- uplighting, twinkle lights, candles.

If I can’t hang anything from the ceiling or walls how do I do drapery and lighting? That’s what I really wanted.

I would double check with the venue on the specifications. Typically when they say nothing can be hung it means you cannot affix things via nails, tacks, etc. but it is usually ok to drape things, as it is non-damaging to the property. Many places will also allow command strips to be used (you could use them for twinkle lights). So I would definitely check with them! If for some reason they won’t ok that, I would utilize uplighting, which are lighting cans that sit on the floor and point upward in order to create beautiful lighting features. Tons of candles would also create a romantic feel.

Thank you! I will double check with them! I wasn't sure how else to utilize the lights at a minimum. It’s going to be a summer evening reception there and I think they’d be really cute.

You can also hang draping using "pipe & drape," which is freestanding, and uplighting is usually achieved by placing lights on the ground and aiming them upward toward a wall so the light reflects back. Because it's such a big space, I'd concentrate on trying to create a focus for the altar area -- maybe with a freestanding arch, draping, and florals. Perhaps some large potted plants (talk with a nursery about possibly renting some). It could cost a fortune to go all out decorating such a big space, so if you're trying to be more budget-minded, I'd work on creating a focal point and then letting the awesome "bones" of the structure speak for themselves. Cool space! (And, ALL those windows! Oh, my goodness, the light will be amazing!) Congrats! Smiley heart

Oh I’ll have to look up pipe and drape!! Thank you so much! It’s for our reception so aside from table top decor I wasn’t sure what else if anything I should do. But thank you! I’ll look into this!

I would rent from Hobby Lobby columns, arches, etc. add flowers and bring the flowers home.

You can use this where you’ll be saying your vows or behind your dais during the reception.
