How do I ask to split the cost of the bachelorette plus bridal shower?

Another bridesmaid and I are throwing a mini bridal shower plus bachelorette party. It will be only 3 of us, including the bride because the bride wanted it that way. No maid of honor since we are both close to the bride. We are going to Atlantic City to stay at a hotel. We estimated it will be around $900 so we will split it. What is the best approach to dividing the cost? I don't want to be "dutch paying" the hotel costs, dinner, etc in front of the bride. Should I ask the other bridesmaid to give me half of the money ahead and I will pay for everything so there's no hassle? Or I can give her the half as well. Then we can go over at the end with the receipts if there is any leftover or more costs to pay?
