How did you get home after the wedding?

Or how do you plan to get home after the wedding? My original thought was to take an uber back to the hotel after the wedding. FH wants to have a limo take us back. I personally can't imagine paying that much for a limo for a one way trip. They all have 4 hour minimum requirements. So I was curious...

This will be a "destination" wedding for me in that it's over an hr away- and we are probably setting up the day before at a hotel- so I'm hopeful we will have a hotel to stay at that's near by- I am really not interested in the drive home by myself. Not happening. I want to do brunch with my family I think.

We'll either uber home, or use the transportation that we're providing to the blocked off hotel. We haven't decided whether we're staying at the hotel for the "special occasion" or just going back to our own house.

According to my MIL, I crawled up 4 flights of steps on my hands and knees.

We just drove my jeep home. We lived less than 30 minutes from our venue and couldn't justify the expense of renting a car or hotel room, Uber is pretty non-existent where I'm at & there are no cabs here either.

It's good to hear that limos are not the common for weddings anymore. FH is just going to have to suck it up. Smiley smile

We used my husband's car. We got it deep cleaned a couple days before the wedding so my dress wouldn't get dirty Smiley smile

Our hotel was about 3 blocks from the venue, so we loaded our arms up with as much cake as we could carry and walked.

One of my brothers flew into town for our wedding, so he needed to rent a car anyway. He got a Lincoln town car and drove me to the wedding and drove us back to our apartment (after stopping at the bar where we met to have a drink!).

We had a shuttle for guests, which we took back to the hotel (we were on the last shuttle with just me, DH, my parents and sister).

We're using a shuttle bus for us + guests to get back to the hotel which is about 15 minutes away from the venue!

We took my dad's van. We didn't want to drive either of our cars because my dress was fairly poofy and I didn't think I would fit too well. Plus we had a lot of decor and such to take home so the van made the most sense.

To us a limo or anything like that just seemed like a waste. There were so many other places we would have rather spent that money.

We are staying at our venue, but if we weren't we would uber for sure. I would splurge and go for the black car or SUV option for the sake of my big dress

We were hoping before our accident that we would ride away on our Harley. We should have another one before then, so that's the plan. Smiley smile

We were planning on not renting a vehicle and just using our car(of course we will get it professionally cleaned). After we see our guest off at the end of the evening we were going to change into nice new semi formal clothes before we take off in our car. Our wedding venue is a 10/15 minute drive from our home, however we have decided to stay in a hotel suite on our wedding night to mark the special occasion.

I'm interested in getting a hotel with the rest of the OOT block. I might look into a shuttle to/from the venue of the hotel allows and it's within budget, so we will either take the shuttle or an uber.

My MOH did, but we also utilized Uber for the rest of the BP.
