How did you get engaged?

It was during a beach weekend we had had scheduled for months with my sister and his sister (a sibling weekend, so to speak). His mom got us a room with two double beds for free since she worked there, so we could beach all weekend. I remember seeing my parents when I was picking up my sister for our trip and my mom essentially kicking me out of the house (turns out it was because she and my dad knew, and she didn't want my dad to spill the beans lol). Then we saw his parents to get his sister, and his parents ignored us, also so as not to spill the beans lol. We beached all day, then he told me we should go to this really nice restaurant, which was his way of getting me into a dress so I didn't look like a bum. Before we went to dinner, he says "So my mom has access to the honeymoon suite, which we can go see if you want so we can go kill some time" and I figured why not lol. He proposed to me in that room, that was actually the room we would be staying in that night. Our sisters were there to take pictures/video and knew the whole weekend was about us getting engaged. So really, it was just me who didn't know lol. Everyone always asks me why I didn't see it coming, and honestly, he does weird stuff like this all the time! Like he was breathing really hard all day at the beach, apparently because he was nervous, but I just thought it was his asthma/allergies! Why didn't I think it odd that he wanted to show me the bridal suite? Because he always wants to explore random places lol. But it was just really great to me that everyone knew the plan and no one accidentally blabbed, which is a true accomplishment.

Aww super sweet! My husband booked us an air bnb in the poconos for the 4th of july weekend. I kept asking why is the 4th so special for us to go away. He had me help him tie fuses together to link fireworks and as they were all going off he asked me to marry him. It was special and sweet

Aww thats such an awesome story. My fiance had been telling me for a while that he was going to marry me. I had lost like 80 lbs and we were in the mall so he wanted to go get my finger sized. We find out my new ring size then he suggests we look around so he can "get an idea" of what kind of ring I'd like. We find a ring I love and to my surprise he bought it on the spot. I was not expecting that at all when we went in there, but he had it planned the whole time. He got down on one knee in the middle of the mall to officially ask me when the resized ring came in a few weeks later.

Here’s mine: We planned a trip to Hawaii in October 2018. We planned a sunrise hike at Diamondhead for our first morning because we wanted to do another hike + other stuff. We got up super duper early and my s/o was rushing me. Almost rudely, actually (but it was due to nerves). I had a full athletic outfit on and he was dressed in regular shorts and t-shirt. I ended up changing my shorts to jean shorts and I absolutely hated my outfit. He kept rushing me! We drove to the site and there was a bit of a line to get in, and we practically power walked to the top. He then asked if i wanted to take a photo if he could get someone to take it. What he did was start a video, tell the random person he started a video, and then popped the question as soon as he walked over to me. You can hear him in the video saying he pressed record. It was beautiful and just after sunrise!
