I'm coming up on our last week before we're married on the 31st and the emotions are running wild! I've had sleepless nights and it's getting harder and harder to focus on work. Everyday I am either in a super good mood and feel like everything is going smoothly, while other days I'm a nervous...

I'm coming up on our last week before we're married on the 31st and the emotions are running wild! I've had sleepless nights and it's getting harder and harder to focus on work. Everyday I am either in a super good mood and feel like everything is going smoothly, while other days I'm a nervous emotional wreck and am worrying about every little thing lol. So for brides who are married or are in their last week before their wedding, how did you/are you feeling??

We were stressed out, still wrapping up DIY projects we should have cut back on, tired/snappy which led to a blow-out. A massage and a break for a few hours would have been so great!!!

I was anxious about the packing because we had a destination wedding. I would go daily thru all my list and I was tired for all the last minute things I had to do such as hair, nails, picking up the dress. In general I was calm wedding wise just stress on the daily routines with work in the way as well. I thought I wouldn’t sleep but I did which was a surprise and overall I was very excited! I think is normal to go thru all the different emotions.

I was just anxious because I wanted the day to come quicker. I didn’t get much sleep last week maybe 5-6 hours a night but was fully energized at the same time.

    I'm a ball of stress.

I'm super excited, but I'm a ball of stress, regretting not taking more time off, and generally freaking out.

This is my wedding week, getting married Saturday!! I’m actually feeling pretty good, surprisingly! I think that because I really hustled to get a lot done early on, that has left literally only the last minute things to be done. Flowers are coming tomorrow (DIY through fifty flowers), and I have to go shopping for the dessert bar, then we are cooking A LOT of mini bite sized pies on Thursday, but I have lots of help so It should go quickly. Then it’s Friday, and we are doing nails and set up and rehearsal and then wedding day is next! I just can’t believe it’s come so fast!! I keep wracking my brain to see if I’ve missed anything, and I don’t think I have... I had my friend, who’s getting married on the 31st, look st my wedding binder last night and she said she thought I was on top of everything too, which helped ease my mind a bit....

Soooooooo many feels!! They really didn’t hit me until Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning I was actually really calm until 3 seconds before our first touch and photos and I was like “OMG THIS IS HAPPENING!!”. Our day was literally perfect. Everything went smoothly for the most part, tiny hiccups that were smoothed out quickly and quietly, and we just loved every minute!!!! I’m trying to filter through all our friend and family photos to post a non pro BAM!! Now it’s your turn girl!!

I was super excited. We had the wedding on a Saturday in Vegas and flew out the Wed before. I loved doing it this way so we could just relax and have fun and not worry about work or other life stressors. I can't imagine working right up to the wedding.

Honestly, little things!! We ran about an hour late getting ready, because we did DIY HMU and it took longer than expected AND hubby and I have three kids between us and we had to help them get ready. BUT, I had left about 1.5/2 hours of cushion time in our timeline just in case we ran late, and we ended up getting to the ceremony ON TIME! So make sure you have extra time allotted for that, because every wedding I’ve ever been a part of has had the getting ready part run longer than expected!

Our photos also ran later, but we remedied that by just getting through our group photos fast, then moved in and then snuck away for our portraits/just us pics after dinner, toasts and the special dances! Most of our guests didn’t even notice we were gone, so that worked out really well!!

Our caterer also didn’t bring the water he promised to bring, which was a small issue.. but if I’d known, I would’ve made sure to buy some bottled water to have in coolers since we had an outdoor wedding with a DIY bar.

Mostly, things just take longer than expected. Because our photos ran late, and we didn’t have a receiving line, and I had to spend a few minutes talking to the caterer about the beverages, we didn’t get around to the tables like we had wanted to. So there were a few people we didn’t get to really say hi or talk to, which was sad. Thankfully they’re people we are pretty regularly, and I made sure to let them know that we were sorry we missed them!! But maybe find a way to make sure you say hi to people!!

I’m a year out an I cycle between blissful joy, tears (happy), insomnia, obsessive planning, and contentment. I’m a naturally anxious person though so my FH is being amazing through it all. You’ve got this! No matter what it’s gonna be amazing and relieving all at once.
