How Did You Cope the Night Before Your Wedding?

I still have months to go before my wedding and am already thinking about this. I am pretty sure I will be a wreck the night before my wedding. Too nervous, stressed, anxious, and excited to sleep. I still have months to go before my wedding and am already thinking about this. I am pretty sure I will be a wreck the night before my wedding. Too nervous, stressed, anxious, and excited to sleep. The last thing I want to do is stay up all night and be bleary eyed on the wedding day. I am going to need to do something that day to wear myself out.

The hotel where I will be that night is part of a harbor with all sorts of things to do. I suppose if the weather permits I will go out and walk around with the my BP and whatever family may have arrived.

What did you do that evening to keep calm?

After the rehearsal dinner, my MOH came back to my house and we had a "sleepover" with the dogs and cat. I took NyQuill to sleep, but the body decided that it was wake-up time at five thirty!

Thank God Anna was still in the Indian time zone so she was wide awake before me. We made breakfast and BSed until my mother and other house guests were awake then started our day.

I'll probably take Zquill or something to make me sleep lol. My Fh and I will still sleep together I'll just leave before he gets up to go get ready.

My wedding is far in advanced but I'm sure I will wake up several times throughout the night. It always happens when I'm anticipating something major in the morning. I'll just deal with it as it comes and I'm sure the rush of everything will help me get through it, or at least I hope.

We had our rehearsal and then hit the hay. I thought I would be too excited to sleep but I slept well!

I totally get the adrenaline thing for the wedding day. That makes complete sense. I guess the game plan is to plan on some activities and have Zzzquil on hand when all else fails. :-)

I'm with Ariella, I'm sure I will wake up several times anticipating it to be morning! Hopefully I will get in some yoga the night before, have a nice cup of coffee, cuddle with the cat and maybe watch a romantic movie until I fall asleep. Then the next morning I plan to have a great breakfast, head on over to the venue, have some devotion and prayer time with the FH and get ready. Hopefully this will be how it goes.... but we will see. My plans always fail!

I don't sleep well without my husband.

We didn't even think about spending the night apart until the week of, and we just told everyone, we were sleeping together the night before.

The only thing that changed in our relationship is my last name.

My MOH said if I'm not sleeping at a decent time she's giving me benadryl.

Judging by how little sleep I got the night before DRESS SHOPPING, I'll probably need to take some Zzquil or something. Planning on having my whole BP there with me Smiley smile

You've got plenty of time-try not to make a big deal out of it. Who knows how you'll feel? I thought I might have issues getting to sleep but after the rehearsal dinner, we all went to a martini bar across the street. I had a few drinks with BP & OOT guests and went back around midnight. I was sound asleep when my sister came in around 2am. I did wake up at 6:15 when she left to go get her stuff from my house but caught the sunrise. It was pretty awesome & I fell right back asleep until it was time to wake up. I was bright-eyed and made it until 2am wedding night no problem.

Wedding doesn't begin until 8pm. we havent decided if we will separate or spend the night together. maybe take a sleeping pill if i cant sleep since i won't have to wake up early. we even are talking about doing breakfast with the bridal party before we split up for the days prep.

Hubby & I had separate hotel rooms the night before the wedding. I just watched Pretty Woman on tv & then slept like a baby. I thought I'd have trouble sleeping the night before the Big Day but I was fine. I think it might have been partially due to the fact that where we live is really noisy so it was just nice having that peace & quiet.
