How did you ask your bridesmaids to be in your party?

I told my sister and my best friend..that’s the kind of relationship we have and I asked my other friend if she would be interested and she said yes through tears. FH asked his guys then wrote them a letter. That’s not me and the girls won’t expect such over the topness from me.

We dropped off “proposals”. His bags had a squirt with some tequila “mexican drink”. And a glass as well. My boxes, if you can tell in the picture had 3 sugar cookies, baby wine bottle, hand cream and Hershey kisses, along with details of the day for both.

I called my Niece/MOH, and I flat out told my bridesmaid she was doing it LOL She's become a bit of a hermit in the past couple of years and she needs some fun. She was a bit iffy at first, but now that she's on board she's been great.

My fiancee called his friend to ask him to be best man, he told his one son he was doing it, one of his others sons asked to be in the wedding, and i'd planned to ask the other son to give me away but my FH was so excited he asked him for me!

I asked my bridesmaids by getting them a catchy card that says something like i can't say "i do" without you along with some gifts, my fiancee is getting his friends some kind of gift as well. Asking them each personally is the best way to go i think!

I never asked them AHAH I think I always told them ahaha but I really wish I did those proposals because they're so cute

We plan on doing it the old fashioned way and just asking them lol. We’ll ask my brother in person and his sister is in a different state, so probably over facetime.

I gave mine each gift bags with a little makeup bag, a bracelet and socks, along with a personalized card. I tried to ask them privately, but I asked two in front of one of my other bridesmaid- she previously got her gift. My fiancé just casually asked his guys.

I got some personalized "will you be my bridesmaid/MOH" cards from Etsy and asked each person individually over dinner. No gifts, just a little personalized note about how they were special and I hoped they would be by my side.

I asked them individually. I gave them these bags with their favorite bottle of wine in it along with a hand written note about how much they mean to me on the back of these cards

Just in casual conversation

I went to lunch or dinner with each of them. It was a nice relaxed way for us!

I texted them privately first, just to make sure they could do it (financially & everything). Then I sent formal proposal boxes with jewelry boxes, nail polish, hair ties & liquor shooters! My husband sent boxes with whiskey & coke bottles, and a funny proposal card.

I called or texted them and asked in normal conversation.

The best man is my FH's son (8) and the maid of honor is my nephew (5). My FH just straight out asked our boy (which he didn't take seriously until we told him that he needed to keep it a secret for that time lol), and my nephew lives 5 hours away so I called my sister and asked to talk to him on speaker phone and asked "Will you be my sir of honor?" And he was super excited and yelled "YES!!... what does that mean though?" 😂

I just asked within normal conversation. Same with the groomies.

I got all my girls a mug that said "a wedding is brewing will you be my bridesmaid" with chocolates, an airliner bottle of vodka, and hot cocoa. FH got all his GM a shot glass with a picture of them that said "will you be my groomsman"
