Oh gosh, I posted, he posted, half our friends and family at the surprise engagement party posted and we changed our status. I’m not big on FB and either is my fiancé but getting engaged is exciting and we just wanted to share with everyone.
Choose a cute pic from when he proposed. You don’t even really need to say anything! It’s pretty obvious!

We're planning to get married (we've been together 5+ years now) but I've been really clear that I don't want a long engagement, and we aren't financially in a place to get married yet, so we're holding off on the formal engagement. When it happens, I plan to post a picture of the ring along with something along these lines:

"___ years ago, I met (FW).

___ years ago, we moved in together.

___ years ago, I took a risk and asked her out (okay, so we did things a little out of order).

Today, I asked her/she asked me to marry me/her (this depends on which one of us proposes first lol). These past ___ years have felt like forever and, at the same time, they've felt like no time at all. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my favorite person."

We had been talking about getting engaged for about a year before he popped the question.

we were camping and it was really sweet. I went to change my status on FB but decided his mom needed to hear it from him before FB. He got more nervous calling his mom then he was to pop the question. Then we each called our best friends.

As far as FB we just changed our status and posted a pic of my ring
