How can i prevent wrinkles in my dress??

ARisen1108, on October 9, 2018 at 10:59 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
My fiancé and I are eloping at a state park to avoid the stresses of planning a wedding for our families who live half a nation apart from one another. We’re very private as it is, and prefer it this way. The park is about an hour and half from home. There isn’t an option of a hotel or a place nearby to get ready. My question is how can I minimize the wrinkles in my dress from the long ride? It’s a floral jacquard tea-length dress from David’s; the description only states that its polyester. https://www.davidsbridal.com/product_floral-jacquard-tea-length-wedding-dress-op1313_short-wedding-dress

Is there a restroom at the park you can put on your dress when you arrive? Then just wait until then to put it on, and keep it in a garment bag until then? If not, I'd just steam it right before you leave and do your best to not sit on it in ways to make it wrinkle. They also have portable steamers, so that's an option?

Don't put it on to ride in the car for a long ride. Stop somewhere to use a clean bathroom. He should do the same. There's a antiwrinkle spray at the store. Read on it before spraying it.

If there's a visitor's center and you're going to be there during open hours, it might be worth a try to call the visitor's center, tell them the story, and see if they can help you out by keeping an eye on your dress in the bathroom or hanging it in a closet if you plan on exploring the park before your ceremony. Smiley smile

    Best of luck!
