How big was everyone's bridal shower

It depends on a lot of things like for example, how many local female family members do you both have?

I think mine was about 10 people, with a few additional family members invited but unable to make it due to distance.

My family one this weekend is going to be about 5-7 people. The shower my MOH is throwing will be 10-20 people.

My mom is inviting 35. I expect 25 or 30 to show.

I think more than 30 guests and things start to get overwhelming!! Both in terms of party cost for the hosts, and in the amount of time it will take to open gifts!

Also keep in mind that everyone invited to the shower also needs to be invited to the wedding!

Bridal Shower Etiquette

I don't think there is really a rule to how big or how small a shower is, it varies by person. Our families are hosting two showers - on in my FH's hometown of Pittsburgh and the other is being hosted locally by my mom. The one in Pittsburgh has 18 attending (it is in a couple weeks so they already have a accurate guest count) and there is around 25 expected to be invited to the local one.

I had around 30 at mine inviting aunts, cousins, and close friends. My BM who is also engaged is also only inviting aunts, cousins, and even fewer friends than me but she's up to 80 because both sides are huge families and pretty much everyone is local. It just depends on the size of your family and friend groups and who you want to invite.

My mom is just finishing up planning mine. She said there are about 35 people on the invite list. Some live a bit farther away so we'll probably end up somewhere in the range of 25-30!

I'm having two...one on the East coast with FH's family that will be about 10 people, and one on the West coast with my family that will be closer to 50 people (my mom has 8 sisters...it's a big, close family). So I guess that averages to about 30

For my first wedding I had about 10 people at a shower thrown by my mom.

I'm having 22 invited, not sure how many will show probably 15 or so.

I'm doing the guest list now and it's about 60 people. My bridesmaids are telling me that's fine. I imagine that might translate to about 40.
