How big is your card/gift table?

Piper's Mom, on February 11, 2013 at 5:06 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

My caterer suggested getting a 6ft banquet table for our gift table. I think it's to big. I think our guest will bring cards and send gifts. My other options are a 36" or 48" round.

I would like to go with the smaller table our card box is 16" x 10" what do you think?

You may be surprised by how many actual gifts people bring. The weddings I've been to, it adds up fast. And a 6' table isn't really that big. You could also give it double duty with your guestbook, programs, or decor.

We're going to use an 8' table cause the women in our family tend to be really crafty, so we are pretty sure that we will be getting quite a few handmade presents. We are also going to put a book of engagement photos out on that table if people want to look through it.

How many guests will you have?

A couple of larger gifts and a 6' table gets full quickly.

6' table. I always see cards overflowing too.

We will be having 75-80 guest. We are not doing a guest book, programs or escort cards so we don't need to have the table do double duty for those

I would still do the 6ft table. If you have the card box, and only 4 out of 80 people bring larger boxes, it will be full.
