How big is a card box?

Rebecca, on October 4, 2013 at 6:03 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 4

So just what the title says...how big should a card box be? Is there a min size? Is anyone not doing one?

My family was surprised I was doing a card box and not a bridal bag, where guests hand you cards and you have a little bag to stick them in as you walk around and great people.

I used my guest list as a guideline, I wanted all the cards to fit without a problem. So if there is enough space for cards (each family will likely bring a card) to comfortable go in, and not stick out its big enough.

I purchased this one (it looks bigger than it is...the dimensions are listed):

I LOVED it! I'm using it as a keepsake box now. We had around 190 guests, and it was just the right size.

Hmm. Love the chest! It would definitely stay useful after the wedding. I wonder if I should use one of our instrument cases like buskers. We are both musicians.

I don't think there's a minimum size. I think it would depend on size of wedding. I made mine as big as a cake but that's because like crafting. (Finished last week) You can definitely be creative and come up with lots of unique ideas.
