How are you spending your first day as newlyweds?

We will be getting up nice and early in the morning to get on an airplane heading towards our cruise! That part won't be fun but as soon as we get on that boat we are so hitting the buffet!

Hoping on a plane 1st thing to head to Florida to soak up mthensun for a few days.
Well hang by the pool all afternoon and have a nice steak dinner that night!

Our wedding is a Sunday, so we will be taking Monday off from work and just relaxing! Probably opening gifts, and maybe getting started on thank you notes. Then finishing up last-minute packing, because we leave for our honeymoon on Tuesday. But we definitely felt like we needed a day in between the wedding and the honeymoon to recover!

Our first day as newlyweds consisted of us enjoying room service breakfast in bed at the hotel near our venue, then having a late lunch with my family (mainly so they could come grab my wedding gown & the hubby's tux to store at their home), then we took off on the first leg of our road-trip style honeymoon! We landed in Palm Springs just for the night, where the hotel treated us to an awesome goodie bag congratulating us on our wedding! It was a great first day as newlyweds

We will get up and check out of the hotel, drive an hour to our home and pick our dog up from the day care place we are leaving him for the weekend.

We will go home and play with him for a bit then we will head to my moms to spend time with all of our OOT guests. She's hosting them all for a casual lunch/hang out. We will go home that night, make sure everything is set for the honeymoon and we will leave for the honeymoon Monday morning!

He slept in and then gathered all of the rented tuxes from his groomsmen to return, I went to my college homecoming to surprise my old director (who is retiring this year...my college was 3 blocks from our venue). Then we went home and took a NAP! LOL

We spent the day at the beach house where we had the wedding/reception. Brunch with friends and family. Then he headed home because he had to work the next day. I stayed behind with my mom until Monday to wait for the rentals to be picked up and finish cleaning.

The day after our wedding we had to transport our stuff from the venue (decor, leftover alcohol, gifts), then we had a casual brunch with 12 of our guests - siblings and friends. Then, my husband went out to hang with his friends and then I slept the rest of the day. It was glorious!

Since it sounds totally unromantic, I'll note that my husband hadn't seen some of his close friends in years because of distance, so I was happy for him to spend time with them.

We'll probably be spending the first day with family since they will all still be here from out of town.

Sleeping in, getting everything back from the venue to home, napping, laughing, and cuddling our puppies, and then driving to the town 2 hours away with the airport for our 6 am flight the following day!

We’re staying the night at a hotel 🏨 & im hoping we can just relax the night day.

7am the next morning we fly out to Jamaica. We get there by 3pm i think and will take the rest of the day easy in our suite at the resort.

We’re having breakfast with our OOT guests the next morning! Then driving 2 hours back to our house, opening gifts & depositing any checks/cash into the bank, and a nice dinner at a restaurant. Then to sleep for our early flight the next morning!

We are taking a mini moon to Colorado! Then 2 months later we will go on our regular honeymoon. So excited! We booked a beautiful resort in Colorado with a couples massage, a dinner on a beautiful mountain & plan on spending so much time together!!

Lol. Hubby was in BED. He got sick two days before our DW and spent the 1st day of our mini-moon sleeping. Happily, he rallied so we did make it to a few fun outings the next few days but honestly, we were both so tired, couch surfing in our gorgeous resort villa listening to the rain and watching TV was HEAVENLY.

Getting married on a sunday. We’ll be staying in the hotel where our brunch reception is the night before and of the wedding, just so we don’t have to worry about packing everything and checking out. We’ll have our toddler soo check out and head home? He works from home but he’ll probably still take the day off.

Our wedding is on a Saturday, so Sunday will be a day of opening gifts/cards, maybe having breakfast or lunch with family/bridal party who are staying in town a little longer. We will also be loading up the RAV4 with all our things needed for our mini-moon! Monday morning we road trip down to Nashville for the first night (we have never actually "been" to Nashville, just through it), and then Tuesday we will drive the rest of the way to Destin, FL for our beachy mini-moon! We will stay until Saturday morning of that week.

We went to our favorite bar for brunch and watched football with our friends/family since the day after was a Sunday during NFL season!

We are heading to the airport for our honeymoon.
