Our ceremony and reception are roughly 40 minutes away from each other. Trying to block hotels and I am a little unsure where to. A part of me thinks to block off hotels that are in the middle of the two locations so that guests can stop in between if need be to freshen up, but the other part of me thinks it would be better to have all the hotels be closer to the reception so that after a long night of celebrating they wont have to drive as much ( option B is also closer to the airport). Thoughts?

    I eventually gave up on hotel blocks because I was having the hardest time actually being able to talk to someone to set them up. But my original plan was to set up a hotel block at a hotel closer to the ceremony location and a hotel block closer to the reception location.

    Option B for sure. If I was a guest, I'd be less likely to want to stop at my room in between ceremony and reception. But I would love if my hotel was closer to the reception venue (and the airport).

    40 mins is a lot. With that being said I'd rather drive 40 mins to something rather than drive that after a long day. Get the hotel that's close to the reception.

    Closest to the reception! There’s nothing better than being close to the hotel after a night of dancing. If guest want to freshen up they can take a quick stop if the hotel is nearby.

    Option B - that way guests won't have too far to go after the reception and they are closer to the airport when it's time for them to travel home.
