My version of the Welcome Bags, All items “Harry Potter” themed, and Upstate NY, where wedding will be held— and FH is from. Hotel Bags: Bags in the “Harry Potter” house colours( Red/Gold, Yellow/Black, Blue/Cooper & Green/silver) or the Crests: IN EACH BAG: - Gum - mints - Water( per person=pp)...

My version of the Welcome Bags, All items “Harry Potter” themed, and Upstate NY, where wedding will be held— and FH is from.

Hotel Bags:

Bags in the “Harry Potter” house colours( Red/Gold, Yellow/Black, Blue/Cooper & Green/silver) or the Crests:

IN EACH BAG:

- Gum

- mints

- Water( per person=pp)

- Mini Bags trail mix pp

- Cookies pp

- Aspirin/ibuprofen pp

-Rolaids/Tums/Peptobismal

- Mini mouthwash pp

- Map of things to do in area & ER/urgent care marked off.

- Card that says “Call Anyone BUT the Bride & Groom” w/names, numbers and who they are.

- “Harry Potter” pin/button pp

- “Chocolate Frogs” that are handmade by me( and a couple of my Epic “House Elves”!) Pp

- Tissues

- Mini nail kit & clear polish( can be used to stop nail breaking and runs in pantyhose)

- Mini sewing kit & safety pins

- Mini first aide kit

- Feminine products( if appropriate)

- Pen and paper

- Deck of cards- “HP” or ones w/our date/pix

( And maybe: Soda/Gatorade, “Harry Potter” book or nicer “HP” items for our “VIPeople”, other food items for some ppl from the local area, Mini toiletries, and a few other little things I am forgetting... but hey I’ve got a year to go!)

These sound great!! Love the HP references!! Also, hi fellow VA!! I'm in Manassas, and also getting married up I'm NY! But we are Western NY lol.

Are all of your guests staying at the same location? A lot of mine aren’t bc it’s so expensive so I wasn’t planning on doing welcome bags. If they are in different hotels, what is the plan for getting them??

I have a few who will be in other hotels. We are lucky enough that our venue offers 4 different price point/style options.
1) Lodge $$$$
2) Tower $$$
3) Hotel $$
4) Inn $
Yet all are equally nice, up to Lodge which is Stunning!!!
We are covering a certain amount of rooms also.
But for those we aren’t, and aren’t staying on Turning Stone Casinos property, I plan to leave bags at the front check in- vs in room. Those will be dropped off the night before by someone- who’s assembly help is being enlisted.

Wow! Zazzle has great personalize water bottle labels
for 8oz or 16oz. ts a nice special touch and there not expensive

They have cute ones now on a lot of the websites - but I actually found them in the discount rack at CVS.

WOW. Your bags sound super fancy! Love it! Ours have: a welcome pamphlet (so this has things to do, bus schedule, #s of people to contact in wedding if needed, weekend schedule), a "his favorite" and "her favorite" snack (one sweet & one savory), a bag of kisses with stickers on the bottom that say "from the mr. & mrs.", a two pack of aleve, and two water bottles!

This sounds really awesome... and expensive. haha. i wanted to do stuff like this but definitely not in the budget anymore. But you have plenty of time to save and gather things slowly so thats awesome and super helpful!

This is such a cute idea! I'm also in Upstate NY!
I am just now planning the welcome bags and have been looking for everything in bulk, mostly on amazon. Where is another good place to buy in bulk (other than for the snacks)? A nail kit is such a good idea!
Right now my ideas are: kleenex, bottled water, advil, pepto, shout wipes, chapstick and gum. Following this for more ideas

Costco/BJ’s & Sams club, Walmart, Target and 5-Below, as well as Dollar Tree. Some of them can be online, as well as in stores. Oriental Trading Company is also good for bulk.

Thank you for the compliment! Sounds like you have it well in hand!
The little sewing kit and nail kits are easily- and cheaply gotten from Dollar Tree, or 5-Below. And add a little extra thoughtful touch.
