Hotel block invite wording

Norma, on October 20, 2017 at 3:08 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Can anyone send me an example of their or of a hotel accommodation invite. And/or of just listed local hotels. We are in the process of doing the hotel blocks but I also want to list a few other local hotels in different price ranges. I have a handful of OOT guests that have never been in S Fla so I'm adding local fun spots to their invites. Just not sure how it's all worded. Thanks!

I put "a block of rooms have been resevered at..." and hotel name/ address. some hotels give a "code" so the room is booked in your block. I would put majority of the info on your website and only that there is a hotel block on your invite insert

We said "For our out-of-town guests or those who do not wish to travel after the reception, please call The Clarion @ 555-555-5555 to reserve your room. You will receive a reduced rate if you mention you're a guest of the LAST NAME wedding. The reduced rate is available to our guests as long as the room is booked before April 4th."

This was ours. Our website had a few extra details about the room block. The hotel was our venue, so we did not include the address on our inserts, plus there were written directions on the back of this card.

(Don't worry about the phone number not being blacked out...a week before I was planning to mail our invitations, the hotel changed their reservation line number and this one is out of service. This is the proof with the old number and not of my reprint).
