When is a good time to cut-off your hotel block? Is two weeks prior to the wedding a good time? When was your hotel block cut-off date?

Typically the hotel sets these, right? So they can release the rooms back into normal booking to see if they do get booked? Ours was about 3 weeks prior.

The contract with the hotel determined our cutoff date. On the save the dates I gave the guests a week less so that we could cancel the block if no one rented rooms.

Most of the time the hotel will put the cut off 30 days before the event.

The hotel told me the dates. But they are about 3 weeks before the wedding.

Our hotel gave us the cut off date. It’s two months beforehand to reserve and get the rate, but you can make any changes or cancellations without charge up to three days before check in. They also don’t ask for a deposit. We are doing a destination wedding in Key West, so I’m sure that has some impact on the early cut off date.

The hotel gave us 4 weeks prior. They set it at Nov 30 for our Dec 31 wedding. But I gave my guest a date of Nov 15 because they'll always be procrastinators and that way they'll still have two weeks after the fake deadline to call and say they forgot to rsvp/get a room etc

Our hotel gave us the cut-off date. Our wedding is on Leap Day, and they made the cut-off date 2/7.

Our hotel originally had it set at 60 days so we asked them to change it, it’s now about 3 weeks before. Never hurts to ask them to move it but I wouldn’t expect it to be less than 2 weeks.

Our hotel has a cutoff date of 30 days before the wedding. Everyone who is coming to the wedding should already know they are coming and have booked a hotel by then.

We gave guests two months to book then the cut off was one month before the wedding at the request of the hotel.

Our hotel is cutting it off 30 days ahead. If there are still rooms available, guests can still book. It just won't be at the lower rate (cheaper than Expedia, AAA, Priceline, etc.).
