Host Or No Host?🤔

Have anyone ever hired a host to host the wedding reception? If so do are there any recommendations for the Philadelphia area?

Do you mean a MC? I had one because I wanted order to the wedding regarding directing guests from room to room, introducing the couple, announcing the toasters, hype-manning during the dancing, etc. In weddings I've been to where the DJ or bandleader plays this role, it's never as smooth as when there's a dedicated person doing it.

Yes a MC is the proper term.

Usually the DJ also acts as the MC.

We had a DJ. DJ’s will play music as well as emcee.

The bride and groom host the wedding. You are paying for food/drinks and entertainment, just on a bigger scale than a party in your home.
