Horsehair Trim Veils !

Ana, on April 11, 2017 at 3:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Hi Ladies!! For those that had horsehair trim veils (long, short, double layer anything) can you please post pictures!

My dress is horsehair trim at the bottom so I would like to see what these veils look like.

Much appreciated Smiley smile

@kay WOW! SO beautiful that dress is amazing. Do you mind asking me where you got the veil from?

Thank you Smiley smile Its from a bridal boutique in San Antonio called Bella Bride Boutique. When I get home this evening I'll look at my receipt for the style number and brand and let you know

@kay thank you! it is very pretty, I was worried it would look heavy but that looks so nice and light.

Mine actually just came in! (It had to be custom made to match the color of my dress *eyeroll*) Mine has a thicker detail, but I LOVE the horsehair trend!

It's called horsehair because of the horsehair trim used at the bottom to help it stand out and make beautiful waves along the edge.

Several decades ago horsehair trim used to be made out of actual horse hair and glue. It was used as a way to stiffen and shape hems. Now horsehair trim is made out of light plastic fibers that woven together in the same way to create the same effect.

WOW! I am in love with your veil! I got a horsehair trim veil with my gown as well, but I am not sure I'm happy with it. It's fingertip length, and I was originally hoping for a longer length but the salon didn't have anything longer for me to try!

Is there any chance you can tell me who made your veil?
