Hoop vs crinoline

Kristen , on November 9, 2017 at 2:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

Hello, so I am wondering what's out there for slips to wear under my ball gown wedding dress. It's a very long, full dress and I want it fluffed out as much as I can get it. Would you recommend a hoop slip or very full crinoline slip? Anyone have experiences with both? Thank you in advance!

I've found that hoops are awkward to sit in.

In a hoop, if someone comes up next to you, or you try to sit down, the entire dress will rise...to your face, giving everyone a look at what's underneath.

If you are considering a hoop skirt and have any questions on how to move around in them I would consider watching this video by Prior Attire:

The hoops used in the video are made to resemble those worn in the 1850s and 1860s but the basic principles of moving are the same.

My dress has a hoop.. it's a collapsible one so you can sit easily and it doesn't flip up. I love it, I can walk freely.

Did it come with the hoop built in or you bought it separately?
