Honorary flower girl

Private User, on November 1, 2016 at 1:11 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 1

Hi all- My FH and I were planning to have my 2.5yr old niece and my 7yr old cousin be our flower girls for our wedding next month (11/26/16). However, we were devastated to find out last Tuesday that my cousin has Leukemia. Since she is undergoing chemotherapy she will obviously not be able to travel out of state for our wedding. I was thinking of getting a bouquet charm with a photo of her and also wanted to include a charm with some words/phrase. I'm debating about putting "honorary flower girl" on a charm and wanted to see what that phrase implies to other people. Please let me know your interpretation of this phrase and if it seems appropriate.

Thank you & please pray for this sweet girl.

Perhaps put a "flower girl" charm on flowers to be delivered to her on 11/26. Leave out the 'honorary.'
