Honolulu/Waikiki Rehearsal Dinner

Does anyone know of a good place to have a rehearsal dinner/welcome dinner for 25-30 people? Everywhere I've looked requires you to get a catered buffet instead of ordering off the menu. I'm really afraid if we go the buffet route, it will be the same type of food we are serving at our wedding reception the next day. my FH and I are against doing a luau and we are looking to spend about $30-$40 a person.
