Honeymoons in the Pandemic?

I tried to sure my emails back to 2016 it was the nice cottage little town outside of Austin and i can’t for the life of me remember what it was called. When i do i will tell you.

Hey! We are taking a local mini-moon because we cant afford a big trip, plus the pandemic means we shouldn't travel. I would HIGHLY suggest NOT GOING to San Antonio or anywhere in S.Texas right now. I live im Dallas and the virus is raging in this state, particularly in S.Texas. We are getting a room in a hotel resort near us and doing some social distancing friendly activities and some sightseeing within the DFW area. Just for your sake and safety, I would seriously reconsider going to S.Texas, as much fun as it would be, its not worth starting your marriage off with coronavirus. Good luck!

Yeah I am too. I think I mixed up my forums. Lol I was responding to someone else and ended up posting on my own.

My and my FH are police officers and around people all the time we haven’t had any issues traveling. Lol
Also we aren’t honeymoon planning our wedding isn’t until Dec NEXT year and I’m sure we are going somewhere lol.

Hopefully everything with the pandemic is resolved by next December! Whatever you choose to book, I strongly recommend travel insurance in case you need to cancel/reschedule due to COVID. Assuming Texas isn't still a hot spot for COVID by December 2021, the pictures you posted look like a beautiful place to go!

I went and saw my family who loves across the country (in a very low hit by COVID area) and i still quarantined after for the sake of my FILs and friends. You never know the COVID history of who will be on the plane or serving you at a store. Well that does give you some time and for everyones sake I hope the pandemic is over by then, however we can't count on it so have a backup plan just in case! Good luck!

New flu! Or New normal. But I’ll go out knowing I lived lol. People have been home and following protocols when it first started and still have lost lives.

We are going to Mexico! I work from home currently and my FHs company was very helpful! He didn’t have vaca time to quarantine so they have him working 4 hour shifts (isolated in his own area- short shifts to avoid Breaks in common areas) and then working the rest of his hours at home doing training classes online.

Depends on if the Carribean is letting people from USA in without quarantining for 14 days 🥴🤦🏾‍♀️. If they lift that ban I will definitely be honeymooning in March, if not then it wouldn’t be worth it for me. I don’t wanna go somewhere and have to quarantine for 2 weeks there before being able to enjoy it 😩

My best friend canceled her original honeymoon plans of Hawaii and japan to do Vegas instead.

We're still planning on going to ours in February. The resort said there are currently no issues or adjustments.

Yes, but it will be domestic. We're looking at going to somewhere less populated, such as Wyoming or Alaska.
