Honeymoon

Brianna, on June 9, 2020 at 9:25 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 7
I decided to cancel my huge wedding and have something more intimate however is anyone else doing this and still going on their honeymoon? It’s September but I need to really figure out now if I need to cancel or not. I’m just so unsure with everything that has been going on with the virus.

I’m postponing the wedding in November with international travel involved. Where are you planning on going for the honeymoon? Every country is very different. With some countries opening up, we will be sure to see a spike in covid cases. In the next couple months. Some places are riskier than others.

I think it depends on where you're going and what you're doing. Tourist sites will probably be flooded where they are open because everyone wants to get out, so it could be risky.

My bff is still planning on going on her giant honeymoon in September. I don’t personally recommend it because who really knows how it’s gonna be but she just wants to be able to do everything normally and I don’t blame her but I hope that things are ok by then where she could do the activities she wants

We're getting married this year and going on our honeymoonv after our reception next year, but that's because of a weird thing with our reservation. I don't think there's anything wrong with going this year. It actually probably makes more sense that way, as long as it makes sense wth regards to covid.

    What Elizabeth said.

It's entirely based on where you're going, what you're doing, and what the data looks like at home and at your destination.

It might be too early to think about cancelling, honestly. Maybe give it a month or so.

It definitely depends on where your honeymoon is. For me, I am keeping my wedding date because it was already small. However, since our honeymoon was scheduled to be in Japan August/September, we are likely cancelling since the borders are closed. We are discussing doing a mini-moon here in the US, if the department of defense lifts restrictions. I would play by ear based on if the location is open, are attractions you want to visit open, are there quarantine restrictions, etc. I hope you get to go safely!

We are still going on our honeymoon next month even though we had to postpone our wedding to December.
