Honeymoon

Jessica, on January 15, 2020 at 11:47 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 9
My fiancé and I are struggling to decide where to go on our honeymoon. He would like to go to Disney/Universal. I’m thinking some place tropical. Any thoughts?

I think you could do both. Since Disney and Universal are in Orlando, you could make a trip further down to the Florida Keys for a more tropical vacation before/after the Disney part.

Or you could even take a cruise to the Bahamas that leaves out of Port Canaveral in Orlando and hit Disney/Universal on your way in or out, depending on how cruise dates line up with your wedding.

Stay in a bungalo at the Polynesian. Best of both worlds (but also extremely expensive).

I just went to Orlando & Clearwater Beach, FL 2 weeks ago! We spent a few days in Orlando, went to Disney one day, then, drove down to Clearwater Beach! It’s beautiful there, our trip was the best of both worlds! We’re going to Turks & Caicos for our honeymoon! I’m super excited about it. 😊

Ugh, my fiancé wanted to Disney World cause it's HIS favorite place to go. We have gone together twice, and I LOVED IT. BUT for my honeymoon I wanted to do something different. Disney to me, is a trip, not a vacation. It's exhausting from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed, and then you're exhausted the following week, lol. So I suggested a cruise to Bermuda, which we are doing. He has only ever been to Disney, PA and NY, so I wanted him to have an experience he will never forget. We will be docked there for 3 days, so we have so much time on the island to do whatever we want, excursions, chill on the beach, and explore Hamilton. Do something you both will enjoy, where there will be experiences that you will never forget! Somewhere that you haven't been!

This is what we did! We flew to Orlando and had a day at Universal Studios. The next day we went to Port Canaveral and boarded our cruise to the Bahamas.

You could definitely do a couple days at the parks followed by a cruise out of Tampa or Port Canaveral. If you do a Disney cruise, I believe they will shuttle you from the resort to the ship.

Another option would be to stay at a tropical themed hotel on one of the properties, such as Royal Pacific at Universal, and build in a few days of just relaxing at the hotel.

We're thinking about spending a couple days at Disneyland before flying to Hawaii.

Also Jamaica is like an hour and a half flight from Orlando apparently so you could always do a day or two at the parks before the rest of your trip!
