Honeymoon!

Kaitlin, on August 14, 2020 at 12:15 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 9

Hey!! This is my first post on here! My fiance and I are trying to decide on our honeymoon destination. We are getting married January 29, 2022 (Little less than a year and a half away hoot hoot!) We are trying to get everything planned early because of COVID and finishing up college. Our goal is to have a honeymoon that is cheap/budget friendly but also relaxing/fun. We are trying to decide between Punta Cana, Cancun, or Playa del Carmen. We are from Indiana. Things to consider are flight costs, airbnb costs, food costs, and weather. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Smiley smile Where is your favorite place to travel on a budget during the colder months of January-February?

I would honestly look into all inclusive resorts as well. Often times, it's cheaper to have food and beverage costs covered since it can add up a la carte and the resorts are usually right on the beach. What is your budget? All 3 of those places are great to go in winter to escape the cold, but also certain parts aren't the safest for tourists.

I would look into places where those months are the off seasons.

The bahamas has wonderful weather around that time. Have you looked into a cruise? They are VERY inexpensive, food and non-alcoholic beverages are included (& some may include alcohol depending on the cruise line). That is if COVID is better and cruises are considered "safe" again

I never even thought of an all inclusive resort! Would Expedia be a good website for that? We do not have a set set budget but we would like to keep it under $3000 if that’s even possible.

At first we thought a cruise would be great but we didn’t know if it would be good during January-February time.

January/February is perfect. I have taken a few in January and haven't had any complaints. I live in Maryland, I usually fly to Florida and cruise out of there.

That is 100% possible. I usually rotate between Expedia and Cheapcaribbean.com. I actually prefer the descriptions available for the resorts on Cheapcaribbean.com and then once I find 1 or 2 that I really like, I will check prices on Expedia and the direct website for the resort to see which has the cheapest deal.

Do an all-inclusive. You will save money and based on the places you named, it will be much safer!

Cruises to that area are great because it's warmer down there, but it's not during hurricane season. It's like an all-inclusive resort on the water.

A good website for discount pricing is vacationstogo.com
