Honeymoon!?

Cheyenne, on June 10, 2020 at 1:21 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 15
With covid going on still the place we wanted to honeymoon is no longer and option. Have you guys changed your honey moon destination!? What are some all inclusive honeymoon resorts you have been too in the US territory?

We switched from the Caribbean to Miami's south beach. I've heard several good things about Sandals resorts and such. Just browse online. I'm sure there are a lot of places we "overlook" which are stunning and fun!

My best friend didn't change her honeymoon at all, they're still hopeful that they are able to go on it and theirs is international - out of the U.S all the way to Japan for a honeymoon so i sure hope it does work out for them!

whenever i think of all inclusive spots i tend to think of stuff like resorts

This won't be our honeymoon but I booked a surprise vacation for my fiance at the end of October in Dominican Republic. The islands are reopening and a lot of all inclusive resorts have amazing safety measures in place so I'm not worried. All the islands in the Caribbean have some awesome all inclusives. Smiley smile

If you want to stay in the US there's a million different places depending on what you guys like to do. I second New Orleans though it was one of our favorite vacations!

We are getting married October 24, 2020 and booked a honeymoon in the Seychelles plus a safari in Kenya. Sadly there is little chance that honeymoon can happen at this point given the travel restrictions in Africa. Even if things do open up, I'm not so sure I want to be one of the first people traveling there. We are thinking of rescheduling and going for our 1 year anniversary. Still toying around with back-up honeymoon options for this year and considering taking two weeks to drive down the coast of California.

So, my original wedding date was May 30, and we had an all-inclusive booked in Punta Cana, DR. That got cancelled, so we rebooked stateside for an all-inclusive at a ranch in Wyoming. I just found out yesterday that many of their activities are not being offered due to COVID and they are no longer offering transportation from the airport (which is over 2 hours away). THEN, I found out today that Delta changed my flights and didn't notify me. We will likely have to try and book a THIRD time for our honeymoon. Frankly, I'm beginning to wonder if honeymooning during COVID is even a plausible idea, even in the US.

ETA: We rescheduled to July 18th, 2020.

Our honeymoon was scheduled for June 22, but when the resort decided to close until July 1, we changed to July 6. Then the resort decided to remained closed for an additional month, but we were able to switch to a different resort within the same company that re-opens five days before we arrive. I can't wait!
