My sister & her wife used Honeyfund for their wedding registry, but nobody contributed. Most people just brought them cards and cash at the wedding instead.

I’m doing a honey moon fund instead of gifts so added that on the registry online and included a little honeymoon wish card nicely stating preference along with invitations

My brother and SIL did a honeymoon fund, but only 2 people (out of 200+) contributed to it. Pretty much everyone just brought cards with cash or checks.

My thought is to have both. People who want to get you a gift will get a gift regardless of registry. Those who want to give cash will, no need for a third party to take your money.

We did a small registry that had a honeymoon fund included. A few people added to it, a few people got gifts but the majority of people gave us cash the day of.

I'm shocked at all the comments that nobody contributed to the honeymoon fund! I always do if there's the option Smiley xd we have a home and have been together for 3 years, almost 6 by the time we get married so we truly don't need anything. We did a honeymoon fund only, and told our guests to refrain from physical gifts as we are blessed with more than we could ever need!

We're going to the Maldives. On our website we have honeymoon activities and that has totally worked! For example, snorkeling, island hopping, romantic dinner on the beach, dream dinner at underwater restaurant, water sports, couples massage etc. Each of these were typically around $100-200 and we usually requested multiple. So say the underwater restaurant dinner is approx $500, we have it split up in 3 buckets of $200 so someone could "purchase" one or two or three depending on how much they wanted to contribute. I think it feels weird to a lot of people to just give money online versus give money for something a bit more tangible. It feels more personal!!

Also, we do have a "newlywed fund" but so far the only people that have contributed are our mothers lol
