Honeymoon!!!

Agh we LOVE Secrets and all of the AM Resorts! (our first "big trip" together was Secrets Playa Mujeres, he proposed at Breathless Cancun, and we're booked to go to Secrets St Martin this spring )

Although I haven't been to these two Secrets locations, we have visited these locations through other resort brands and really, you can't go wrong either way! Both of these secrets locations have passes that get you onto their sister resorts next door for double the food, adventure, pools, and beaches which is a huge plus. I think the biggest differences you'll find will likely be cultural - the staff in Jamaica seem to be very friendly, attentive, and ready to party/have a good time and the DR has amazing beaches. What's most important to you - having lots of resort activites/a great E-team, food, a great room, best beach? Find your #1 priority and work off of that, and know that any of the resorts will be fantastic!

A quick google search showed Secrets Jamaica had the best staff and food and Punta Cana had the best beach! Take any personal reviews with a grain of salt unless you see a pattern of poor reviews lol. Between all the Secrets resorts, St. James Jamaica ranked #4, Punta Cana #6 and Wild Orchid Jamaica #7

I loved Melia in Punta Cana. They have an adults only VIP portion of the hotel which is nice.... Always loved my punta Cana trips though to any hotel. Cheap (as islands go) and always amazing
