Honeymoon

Teresa, on May 6, 2020 at 9:27 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4
Hello. My wedding isn't until August 2021. I feel really bad my fiancee wants to help but piecing many moving parts together is kind of hard for him. I want him to of course feel included and we talk everything through. Well, except rhe date that was all me based on my kid sister and daughters school years lol. I think I might see if my fiance can do the honeymoon. But as I work on wedding details...I am no expert and I don't know the first thing about event planning and am researching many things(my skill). So what steps go into honeymoon planning? I would like for me to know in order to help him do research and the likes. Thank you! He is linked to our WW account. But I am not sure what he has access to. I honestly do not know if he looks through vendors or if he can or not. Thank you again and in advance for any information or advice given.

The honeymoon is like planning any other vacation. Pick a place you want to go, how much money you want to spend, and start Googling hotels/resorts in that area. Sites like TripAdvisor and Expedia have reviews of different places. Travel agents also typically get paid by the hotels/airlines for bookings, so there is no cost incurred by the person using them. If you're struggling to come up with things, you can absolutely use a travel agent who will do most of the heavy lifting on that end.

I just used a travel agent, and it was super easy :-)

If he wants to help, but struggles with piecing things together, ask him take care of specific tasks or research. Trust me when I say that you will NEED that help.

Also, it's his wedding, too, he needs to be involved.

Do you have a planning book? DH wanted to help, too, and the book really helped him figure out what was going on.

He helps with planning but he feels discouraged when I find more info than him.
