Honeymoon

Courtney, on February 19, 2020 at 5:32 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 21
Is October a great time to visit the Caribbean islands for a honeymoon? I love the beach and water, but I’m afraid of encountering a hurricane. Please help me on choosing the best honeymoon destination for the month of October.

I’m not sure if I would visit the Caribbean in October since that is peak hurricane season. If you’re set on the beach would you be open to stay in the US somewhere? Even Destin FL would be beautiful that time of year! I would just be scared to be out of the country during hurricane season. I’m also biased though because I love Destin! 😍🌴

Florida is also affected by hurricane season, but it would be easier to evacuate if you’re stateside.

We were also looking into the Caribbean but got a little scared. We ended up going with Maui and are going the second week of October it’s supposed to be one of the best months in non peak season with great weather!

We are also getting married in October, we are going to Aruba because it’s outside the hurricane belt. The only struggle
I’m having now is finding flight that don’t go through or have a layover in Florida that don’t cost an arm and a leg. There’s also curraco and Bon Aire near Aruba

Try a southern cruise that avoids the hurricane corridor. I won’t go close to Caribbean until at least December. I’ve been burned.

That would be nice. Did you go through a travel agency or did you book yourself?

Oh wow! Thank you for the heads up. I would be soooo scared if we we’re caught in the middle of a hurricane.

Didn’t think about Aruba. Someone mentioned Maui, I’m going to do research in it as well.

We're going to Jamaica in Oct for our wedding/honeymoon. We're staying at a Sandals resort on the South Coast of Jamaica, that part of the island isn't affected by hurricanes. I've done my research to be sure.

A little of both. We booked the hotel ourselves. But did the air and rental car and are going to do all the activities through aaa.

We are going in August - also during hurricane season. We are going to Aruba since it’s out of the hurricane belt!
