Anyone know a good destination to see the Northern Lights? We want to do a cruise but also want to see the Norther Lights. We are open for suggestions.

We are thinking of Iceland for our honeymoon and I want to see the Northern Lights too! There are certain months where you have a better chance of seeing them, can't remember off the top of my head but make sure to google that

Finland, Norway and Iceland are the best places to see them. I’ve looked extensively into this haha. Sometimes you can also see from Alaska, although I’m not sure where you would go for that and the times of year to see them. For Finland, Norway and Iceland, the northern lights can be seen from any time in later fall through early spring. Otherwise you’ll see the midnight sun.

We went to Iceland in Feb hoping to see the lights but didn’t. The more north you go the more likely you are. They run tours that will bring you north so the chances are better. It’s totally dependent on the weather and cloud cover so you can’t count on it! I would pick somewhere very far north (can see them in Nordics, Canada and Scotland too) but with plenty of other things to do. Iceland was actually pretty romantic because we had a little cabin with a hot tub and got plenty of snow.

Apparently, the Northern Lights are on an 11-year solar cycle. They started the downward cycle in 2017 so you might not get those amazing skies for several more years. But perhaps any glimpse is worth it? Iceland would be great anyway!
