Honeymoon with relatives!

Margaret, on December 21, 2015 at 11:16 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4

We are visiting FH sister and bro in law for Christmas...and bro IL asked if we would want to go on cruise and FH said yes, he did ask me too, and I said yes....but now it took an odd turn, it's our honeymoon, not just a random vacation. AND bro is really taking over the planning... FH is very social and I know he loves t he idea of traveling with his sister and her hubs but..... I dunno. It's 2nd marriage for us both, and we're not kids. Am I making too much of this? I don't hate the idea...just he's very take charge and t that worries me.

Go on the cruise ,& then plan a separate vaca just for the two of you to call your "honeymoon". Honeymoons don't have to be right after your wedding FYI.

The cruise sounds fun ! Go , have fun and celebrate with your in laws.

Seems like you get along so should be fun.

My mother really wants Ian and I go to to Paris with her, her husband, her cousin and her cousins husband, their daughters and their husbands a couple months after the wedding, but I would like our honeymoon to just be the two of us. Plus Paris is about $5,000 per person and we just can't afford that after paying for the wedding.

Don't do it! Take the time to be with your FH.
