Puerto Rico is nice

I would recommend Negril, Jamaica. You could head over to Rick's Cafe. Some of the resorts in Negril have good nightlife as well.

If you're in Riviera Maya, some of the resorts offer shuttles that going into Cancun, so you can go the Coco Bongo, which is famous for it's party scene. But then you can go back to the peace and quiet of your resort when you're done.

I second sandals. Sandals Ochi in Jamaica had this vibe.

We are waiting for the dates to open up so we can look too, we are looking for the same style.. currently our choices are Cancun, Jamaica and maybe if we splurge Antigua or st Lucia happy planning

We've definitely narrowed it down to Riveria Maya! We're looking at Valentin Imperial Maya, Secrets Silversands, Excellence Playa Mujeres or a Bahi'a propert. Riveria Maya offers a lot as far as romance but as Bliss said Cancun is close!

We honeymooned at Secrets Silversands in Riviera Maya and absolutely loved it, we had a great time!! Its an adult-only resort which in my opinion is a must for a honeymoon. The resort was beautiful and had a sexy vibe. Its romantic, but not "boring" romantic! There was definitely nightly entertainment and a good night life. Plus, the service was impressive!

We honeymooned in Bali (in October) and it was amazing. There were so many different "scenes" there - party, relaxing, romantic, secluded, etc. We spent about two and a half weeks there and traveled to different cities every few days.

Thank you for all the input, we are checking out Sandals resorts because it seems they have more bang for the buck.

Key West is one big party and especially in October.

We went to Sandals Ochi Beach Resort in Jamaica and it was the best of both worlds! It had so many romantic little areas where you could get away like little gazebos with gorgeous views and fireplaces but then also had a party atmosphere with nightly entertainment like a beach party, chocolate party, talent show, etc.
