Honeymoon to Banff Nationals Park

When i was in the area we stayed in Canmore as it's a bit cheaper than the town of Banff but still gorgeous. That being said, for a honeymoon I would try and stay in Banff proper if possible.
In the town of Banff: The classic Banff Fairmont hotel is super expensive to stay at but I would recommend having lunch on one of their outdoor patios one day just so you can see the grounds. Plus, the view from their patio is amazing. It's not expensive food. Walk around the town. There's a couple of gorgeous waterfalls here too. Check them out.
In Banff National Park more generally: rent a car for sure. HIGHLY recommend going to see Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. They are both incredible and you can do some easy hikes.

If you have time: drive up to Jasper and go through the Columbia Ice Fields (Athabasca Glacier) on your drive up. SO COOL.

Honestly, my favorite parts of my trip out West were the drives. The entire drive in this area is lined with mountains. It's gorgeous. Grab a good cup of coffee and enjoy the sights. Stop at lookout points along your drive, etc. The best.
