Honeymoon suggestions for Orlando and Miami

Erika, on June 7, 2018 at 3:05 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 19

Hello everyone,

I would like suggestions for honeymoon at Orlando, FL and Miami, FL. I will be there and what I had in mind was going to the Magic Kingdom, Jet skiing, Discovery Cove at Sea World are there any good places to visit and relax. Next year, we will try to go to Peru (Machu Picchu) and Argentina.

You're going to both Orlando and Miami? Or your trying to decide between the two? They're like a 4-5 hour drive apart from each other, depending on where in each city you'll be.

Go to city walk in Orlando and have a date night at Pat O Brian's. It is a dualing piano bar and it is awesome!

Well you could spend three days just at Disney World but if you're only going to do one day and one park, Magic Kingdom is a good choice. If you want any outdoor activities, Central Florida is full of little lakes and natural springs. Here's a list of springs in and around Orlando. https://www.tripsavvy.com/natural-springs-state-parks-near-orlando-2545411

In Miami, Miami Beach is nice. I'm not as familiar with the area though.

Also Disney Springs is free entrance area of shopping, restaurants, night life with all the charm of Disney. It's updated and all new and nice.

If you get a chance check out FT. Lauderdale - not sure if you are driving between Miami & Orlando, but Ft. Lauderdale is a really neat city with some amazing restaurants!

Back then it would have been called Downtown Disney.

    Hello Jennifer,

Yes, I will be driving between cities. It isn't a problem. What restaurants do you suggest trying?

Discovery Cove is probably a day in itself. There is SO much to do and it's such an amazing experience. Make sure to splurge a little if possible and do the dolphin swim

Hi Erika! I would suggest the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and Miami Design District for cool, fun places to visit. For relaxing, you should consider visiting their quieter beaches like Crandon Park and Key Biscayne!

We were just in Miami in Feb and had some amazing meals--Mignonette was a delicious and trendy seafood place that we loved. Joe's Stone Crab is also a real classic spot--pricey but delicious and really timeless. the Perez Art Museum was also super cool.

ETA: if you need a Miami hotel, we stated at the ME Miami which was downtown, rather than Miami Beach--it was under renovations when we were there, but the rooms were gorgeous and the rooftop pools were unreal.

Depending on when you are going, Epcot's food and wine festival is coming up, but that is more Disney.
