Honeymoon Registry

Patrice, on March 2, 2020 at 3:35 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4

Hi Fellow Brides!

Has anyone heard of honeymoon registry? Did you personally do this instead of a traditional wedding registry? I would like to do this instead of a regular registry. Any ideas or resources you can share will be appreciated. :-)

We used Honeymoon wishes. We found it to be easy to use and people liked choosing aspects of our honeymoon to donate to instead of writing a check.

We absolutely did this (as well as some traditional registry items) and it was great! Like pp, we used Zola to create our honeymoon fund and it had lots of personalization items so it still felt like guests were gifting you something special (ex: dinner for two, drinks on the beach, an excursion like ziplining or sunset sailing). It was very simple to set up, you choose what the item/excursion is, the cost of it, and how many you would like (ex: if you're there a week, why not do "drinks on the beach" x7). It will link to a bank account so ultimately you can use the money however you choose and no one will be the wiser if you trade in the cooking class for a couples massage Smiley smile

We just did a normal registry. We planned our honeymoon for 2 days after our wedding so it wouldn't have worked if we were financial dependent on guests for our trip (especially since the money can take up to 6 weeks to get to your account and you have to pay fees). We had a physical gift registry and got a ton of cash gifts on our wedding day (some of which we used to splurge for extras on our honeymoon).
