Honeymoon Recommendations

We went to Sandals Grenada and love it! We did a butler suite and it was the best thing ever! The excursions are pricey but there are tons of free activities that the resort plans daily/weekly like sightseeing boat tours every afternoon, beach volleyball, beach party, white/chocolate party, theme entertainment nights with live music...etc. I will do a full review soon. We'll be going to Sandals St. Lucia for a week. Like Lauren, we'll also have a butler suite so I'm pretty excited for that. Even with pricey excursions, depending on how long you stay, your trip won't have to be excursion based everyday.

Also, I'm not sure if this applies to every property but I saw for St. Lucia, they have a Stay At 1, Play at 3 Program. Even though you would stay at one resort, they allow you to visit the other properties to experience what they have to offer as well. Plus, round-trip transfers are included between all three resorts.

How far are you hoping on traveling for your honeymoon? Is there anything that is really high on your honeymoon priority list that you want to have at your disposal?

Are you looking to be going on a lot of outdoor excursions, or will you be chilling by the pool mostly?

Hi! We don't want to travel more than 10-11 hours. We really wanted a nice villa with our own pool, but of course most of the ones I've gotten quotes on have been over our budget. We want to do both relaxing and fun excursions. I would really prefer if we had an all inclusive, but it's not a must!

We are planning to go to Sandals St. Lucia too! Which location are you doing? Are you also going to do butler service?

We're going to Regency La Toc and our room does provide butler service. I can't wait!! What about you?

We looked into the Sandals but decided to go with Dreams Las Mareas in Costa Rica. We are getting their honeymoon package. It was very reasonable priced. 7 nights, all inclusive, transport to and from airport, and we are also flying first class for around $6,500 for both of us! We went through a travel agency for this trip. They ended up getting a better deal than if i would have booked it myself. No charge for using my travel agent.

We are getting married in January - we were also thinking the bahamas but we were advised against this as it tends to be a bit colder there and rainy. Make sure you find a place close enough to the equator (or the right season) for the best weather!
