Honeymoon Professional Photo and Video? Is this a thing?

Nicole, on June 20, 2019 at 12:38 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 6
Hello all,

In lieu of changing our plans, I am heartbroken to not use two of the vendors that we have picked out, but we just don’t know if we can afford to fly them out to Europe and pay for them if we are doing the international elopement. We would probably just use local vendors for the ceremony if that’s what we end up doing.

That being said, if we come back and do part of our honeymoon in the US, we have considered doing professional photos and a video that shows various moments and maybe interviews with us as a couple for the honeymoon. Anybody do this? Is this weird? Anybody have any examples of this? We would be looking to do it at Disney World mostly.

I've never heard of this, but if this is something that you two want to do, I would go for it. If it isn't hurting anyone, why not.

I think it’s a really cool idea, but just make sure you think through when you’d want them. Unless you want them their your whole honeymoon, you should plan a day for photos/videos

    Hey Nicole!

I’ve never heard of a honeymoon photoshoot but I love the idea! If you have a photographer that you love and would really like couple photos taken by them, then why not?

As Courtney mentioned, you would want to plan for a specific day and time slot for your photo session, unless you want to have your photographer over a number of days.

I was going to comment anyway, but if you want pictures IN the parks with wedding attire on, you have to use Disney photography and it’s expensive. If you want to do it around the resorts, that’s free and you can use whatever photographer you want(not sure if your photographer has to have “permission” to shoot there, like some state parks require permits).
Anyway, we did a park shoot atAnimal Kingdom on our minimoon and it was a blast. It was so fun to get dressed up again, and we definitely got sone attention in the lobby which was fun.
Im not sure I’d do a video though.

It's not weird - the hotel I'm having my honeymoon at in Turks and Caicos sent information on vendors they have for this purpose.

I'm sure any photographer would be fine doing a photo shoot for you in the US!

Check out https://www.flytographer.com/ they have photographers all over the world that offer photo sessions. They don't do weddings but do a lot of honeymoon photo sessions.
