Honeymoon Perks?

Just tell everyone you’re on your honeymoon hahah. Like every time you do an activity or go out to dinner or something :p most of the time we just got a lot of “congratulations” but several times we were given free drinks!


Also consider getting a cheesy “just married” shirt so you don’t have to say it all the time 😂

I have heard wearing Mr. and Mrs./Bride and Groom/Just Married Attire to the airport you might get a free drink on your flight but they aren't going to bump you up to first class or anything without paying for it.

This is a good tip too if you are making dinner reservations or booking excursions. You might get a shout out or free dessert. We had an all inclusive honeymoon at a couples only resort so everyone there was either honeymooners, celebrating an anniversary or birthday.

We wore our Mr and Mrs shirts and they actually upgraded us to the exit row (more leg room lol) but they said they legally can’t upgrade you to first class because there’s an extra screening process that has to happen for passengers to sit in first class (since it’s so close to the pilot).


They also gave us 2 free mini bottles of champagne!

I put it noted in hotel & dinner reservations. When we flew, we wore cute matching honeymoon shirts. They are cheesy but you only do it once! Over our 7 day Hawaiian honeymoon, we got 4 bottles of champagne, 1 bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, a free day bed at the adult pool, two free desserts, and a funny announcement over our Southwest airline's PA system.

How did you get upgraded?? I am always super curious how people just get upgraded rooms! I was thinking of emailing my resort and letting them know it's our honeymoon and how excited we are and our first time there etc. Idk if it'll work but I figured I'd try.
