Honeymoon Madness

Renay, on August 9, 2019 at 4:49 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 4

Anyone have any tips or tricks in picking/planning your honeymoon? We are getting married 4/25/20 and plan on honeymooning 4/26-5/1. We really want to do something all-inclusive. I don't want to have to stress over finding our way around a foreign area, carrying a bunch of cash, and sleeping in a different room each night. We live in Central Illinois and the closest international airport is St Louis. Jamaica, or DR have both been majorly discussed, and my fiancé really doesn't want to do Mexico.

Ideally we'd like to spend less than around $3,000 but could wiggle some. I have had a slow day at work and started looking at packages through Apple Vacation and Cheap Caribbean and got so overwhelmed, especially when reading negative reviews.

How about a cruise or a resort?

You can definitely check out Sandals Resorts! My FH and I are going through them. Our honeymoon will be in St. Lucia.

A cruise could be a great option! That's what we are doing, and it took a lot of stress off having it all done with one booking.

We are also doing a cruise, to the Eastern Caribbean. Leaves from Florida, and will make about 3 stops along the way, to 3 different islands. 7 nights, all-inclusive. It's going to cost about $4000, but we have upgraded to a balcony room on the ship, and are upgrading our drinks package and a couple other things. If you went with the basics, and maybe only go for 5 nights, you could definitely do it for $3000.
