Honeymoon Inspiration

Tiffanie, on January 21, 2020 at 11:12 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 11

Hey all!

My fiance and I can't really agree on where we should go for our honeymoon. I would love to spend it in Ireland but he is not a big fan of flying. We are from Washington state and would like some suggestions of where to go! We aren't really tropical type people either.

Thank you!

Lake Tahoe, an Alaskan cruise depending if it's the right season, the San Juan Islands????? I was going to suggest the Grand Canyon, but, he doesn't like to fly it won't work.

Oooh! Those are some great ideas! I really like the suggestion of the San Juans! They are secluded enough to feel like you really got away!

I'm biased because we're doing a 12 day stay in Ireland, Scotland, and England for our honeymoon, so I still say you go there. Just have his doctor prescribe something for his flying. Haha. What about somewhere in Canada? Maybe a nice roadtrip?

I actually booked everything on my own. I wanted to make sure we saw exactly what we were interested in seeing without being stuck to one itinerary. We won't be staying in one place long enough to see everything, so we'll definitely need to go back to experience it all (anniversary trips!!).

I lived in Japan for 5 years and it was the best experience of my life!! It's beautiful, the sunsets are unbeatable, the people are the kindest, the streets are the cleanest, and it's very efficient. Let's not even get into food and drink!! Itadakimasu!

I was also going to suggest an Alaskan cruise! Great way to do something all-inclusive so it really feels like vacation, and you likely won't have to fly to get there. I DREAM of an Alaskan cruise but we just can't afford it yet. Smiley sad I'm off to go look up the San Juan Islands...

I was also going to suggest an Alaskan cruise! Lol is it a sign???!!!! But me and my future hubby are doing an Hawaiian cruise and I know it's going to be wonderful. Just maybe talk to his doctor about motion sickness meds etc if he gets sick when flying. Best wishes!!!

I absolutely HATE and am extremely terrified of flying. But I'm making an exception for the honeymoon. I've only been on a plane once before, to and from Hawaii and it was dreadful. I'd recommend going to Canada! Super beautiful and outdoorsy there. That's one of our options so far! And it's not far from you guys at all!
