HoneyMoon in Ireland??

My Fh and I really want to go somewhere different for our honeymoon because we have done many cruises to the Caribbean and then an all inclusive to DR. My family thinks its crazy to go Ireland in August because the weather wont be hot and tropical. Are we being to different? Thinking too much about...

My Fh and I really want to go somewhere different for our honeymoon because we have done many cruises to the Caribbean and then an all inclusive to DR. My family thinks its crazy to go Ireland in August because the weather wont be hot and tropical.

Are we being to different? Thinking too much about it? Is Ireland a place to go for a honeymoon , rather its better to just go for a regular vacation?

    I'm not much of a "sit on the beach" person- I love traveling- why would I do that? FH has never been out of country, which is crazy to me! So, we are thinking tour of Italy- I have been there, but missed some major cities. At first, FH only wanted english speaking countries, so we were also thinking of the UK.

    As other people have said, it will probably be a bigger deal that you are American than your color. My ex was asian and he worked for united, so we went to the UK/a ton of european countries (and asia and south American, actually), and I think I got passed over mainly because people didn't assume he was American, and so also assumed I wasn't. However, I know a lot of Americans that have gotten crap for it, so I can understand why they would pretend to be canadian. Although, I wouldn't, personally.
