Honeymoon in December/january

We are getting married December 14th and are planning to Honeymoon a few weeks later. We can’t decide if we want to go to Europe or go to an island! We know that a lot of places in Europe will be cold at that time but we love to explore new places. We aren’t really beach people but would also love a little sun!

Has anyone else gone to an island destination or a warmer European destination that they would reccomend in December or January?

Hey Katherine! It’s great to have you in the WeddingWire community!
Have you traveled to Europe before? There are a few warm (ish) destinations to choose from in Europe but they are island destinations quite far south and away from mainland Europe. There are options like Malta, Madeira, the Canary Islands, and Cyprus.
If you were to decide to go to an island destination closer to the US, where would you be thinking of?

I have been to Europe before and love it. But I don’t want to be too cold. If we did something close to the US we were looking at St. Lucia or Antigua. We are also open to a warmer destination that has no beaches as well.

Same. We really want to go back to Europe but I think it's going to be too cold for the time of year (November). We're looking into the ABC islands and specifically Bonaire for our honeymoon. It's 80s year round, little to no rain and no hurricanes

Not yet, but we have narrowed it down to an Island vacation! We just need to pick which one, or ones we will go to!

Maybe southern Italy or Spain? Not really sure what their weather is like that time of year but it's bound to be warmer than other European counties.
