    I think a lot of it depends on where you live. Travel costs differ based on your starting point. Also, what kind of vacation are you looking for? There are low budget options in all kinds of vacation types.

    I would definitely check groupon/livingsocial as they have packages and tours that are inexpensive my boss recently came back from Italy using one of thier packages and he said "the tour was amazing and the hotels were good".
